We believe this cancellation policy strikes a balance between firm and fair: firmly protective of the limited hours in which we can work with students while acknowledging that circumstances may occasionally prevent a student from attending their regularly scheduled session. We believe the vast majority of our students will never be charged a cancellation fee with this policy. It helps to serve all students by ensuring that our busiest times aren’t overbooked with last-minute cancellations or absences.
| One-on-One Sessions | Sessions in a Group of Two | Sessions in a Group of Three |
| Families are required to provide a minimum of 48 hours’ notice for cancellations of tutoring sessions. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the session’s fee. This fee will be waived for a student’s first cancellation in each calendar year. After three late cancellations, one-on-one students may forfeit their regularly scheduled session time. | Families in two-student groups have committed to a weekly day and time for the group session. In order to respect the schedule of both participants, the regular session time will remain in place unless both families agree on a rescheduled time. If one student is unavailable and the other student wishes to keep the scheduled time, the session may run as an hourlong individual session at the one-on-one session rate. If the individual session runs, the absent student will not be charged. If one student is unavailable, no rescheduled time is agreed upon, and the individual session does not run, the unavailable student will incur an absence fee equivalent to 50% of that student’s regular group-session fee. This fee will be waived for a student’s first missed session in each calendar year. If a student’s unavailability results in two cancelled sessions, that student may forfeit their position within the group. | Families who have signed up for a study group of three have committed to a weekly day and time for the group session. In order to respect the schedule of all participants, group sessions will only be rescheduled if two or more students in a group are unable to attend the regular session. Students who are absent for their group session will incur an absence fee equivalent to 50% of the session’s fee. This fee will be waived for a student’s first missed session in each calendar year. After three missed sessions, students may forfeit their position within the group. |
This cancellation policy is in effect May 2026 and may be revised and updated at any time.
